Nipple And Skin Sparing Mastectomy

Nipple and skin sparing mastectomy procedure arose from the observation that the nipple areola complex can be safely preserved in patients with lumps away from the central zone. Here, the entire breast tissue is removed through a linear incision, leaving the nipple areola complex intact. This procedure is often combined with immediate breast reconstruction using either an implant  or autologous tissue.
